Executive Retiremement Announcement

It is announced that Thorry and Peter Gunnersen intend to retire in March this year from executive duties at Gunnersen Pty. Ltd.

They will be replaced by Nils Koren who has accepted the position of Managing Director, and Nils Gunnersen who will re-join the company from Midway Pty. Ltd., as Executive Director.

Thorry and Peter joined the Board 40 years ago, what was then Marbut-Gunnersen Pty. Ltd., since re-named Gunnersen Companies Pty. Ltd. At the time the company conducted diversified manufacturing and distribution businesses, including sawmilling and processing Victorian ash in NE Victoria, and plywood manufacturing and sawmilling in Cairns. In Melbourne operations initially included mouldings manufacture, plywood and panel boards distribution, plus forging, engineering and even cabinet fabrication.

Today as Gunnersen Pty. Ltd. the business is focussed around wholesale distribution and import of wood panels, timber products and decorative building materials. State-based Branches serve national markets in Australia, with Gunnersen Ltd. in Auckland serving New Zealand.

Thorry and Peter wish to acknowledge and thank, not only all who have worked in the company with them during the years, but also the many customers, suppliers and
service providers, all of whose friendships are valued.
