Create Your Own is the premium element colour offer for design professionals providing greater choice, flexibility and ease of use. It is ideal for larger commercial, retail and residential projects where extensive colour choice and innovative surface effects are required.

The RAL™ Colour System
Containing 1,688 colours and arranged systematically, the RAL Colour System has been developed for professional colour design and makes simple the selection, communication and specification of element from design phase to construction.

To Create Your Own Element:

  1. Contact your Gunnersen representative.
  2. Select your colour from the RAL Colour System.
  3. Select the Effect Type from the Create Your Own Effect sample provided in your element Specifier Box.
  4. Complete the Create Your Own Request Form with your Gunnersen representative.
  5. Receive an element laboratory prepared sign-off sample.
  6. Approve the sample and specify your new element product.
  7. Refer to the element Specification Manual for specification guidelines.

Performance Testing

element has been tested by the Furniture Industry Research Association, the world’s leading Independent Furniture Technology Centre.

The FIRA Standard 6250: 2005 and the related methods of tests are designed to determine the acceptability of an exposed surface of furniture, such as cabinets, kitchens, desks and worktops, to be able to withstand the rigors of day to day use.

Tested element product meets the requirements for FIRA Standard 6250: 2005, Specification: Furniture Materials (Interior Applications), which assess the durability of finishes for:

  1. Resistance to mechanical damage
  2. Resistance to dry and wet heat
  3. Resistance to cold liquids, oils and fats

Warranty

element is backed by a 5-Year Manufacturer's Limited Warranty.

Cleaning

To keep element panels looking pristine, just wipe clean with a damp cloth and a diluted solution of mild liquid detergent in warm water, followed by a clean damp cloth to ensure detergent and moisture residue is removed.

Limitations of Use

Never use element in wet or high humidity areas (shower, sauna), high wear areas or exterior applications.

Handling and Machining

element sheets are supplied with Tough Film, a protective plastic film applied to one face of the panel. The Tough Film is designed to protect the surface throughout transit, handling, machining and installation and should not be removed during fabrication.

element can be cut, drilled, routered and edge banded with current wood working machinery. Care should be taken while handling and machining element to avoid scratching and marking. Use only the recommended solvent based cleaner for the removal of adhesives during fabrication. For full details refer to the element Specification Manual.
